NCSLA is proud to sponsor an exciting hands-on professional development session titled NanoScience:  Big Ideas at Small Scale.  Dr Gail Jones and her team of educators and scientists will share cutting edge research and activities you can use in the classroom related to nanotechnology.

Members will be given an opportunity to network with others in similar positions and share resources during a Job Alike session.  Be sure to bring extra business cards and brochures!

The event continues with a Reception sponsored by Frey Scientific and dinner sponsored by Fisher Science Education featuring Dr. Angela Quick from the NC Department of Public Instruction.  Dr. Quick will share the plans and impact of the Race to the Top in North Carolina and discuss the implementation of the new Essential Standards in science.

As you can see, this will be a valuable meeting for all science educators and we hope you will be able to join us!  Full registration details are available online.
