Nominations and Elections Update

Election Results Announced at Spring Meeting

Members and guests welcomed the newly elected officers who were inducted during the spring meeting in Cary on April 21, 2012. Three new board members were inducted and one was reaffirmed.

Pamela Gilchrist was elected as the new President- Elect.  Lisa Knight and Mike Bowman are the new Directors–at-Large. Ron Owens was re-elected and begins his second term as treasurer.

Upcoming Elections for 2013

It’s not too early to begin thinking about how you can take an active leadership role In NCSLA. The following offices on the NCSLA Board  are open for next year’s elections:

•  President- Elect

•  Secretary

•  Director-at-Large (2)

How can you use your strengths and talents to promote teachers, students, and community organization involved in promoting science education in North Carolina? Step up and help lead the way!  Submit a nomination today.

Criteria for Nomination

  • Nominees must be current members of NCSLA.
  • Nominees for President-Elect must have served on the NCSLA Board of Directors for at least one year in an elected position or in a committee position.
  • Members may self-nominate.
  • Nominations may be submitted by another NCSLA member.
