Dr. Dennis S. Kubasko, Jr. (PhD in Culture, Curriculum and Change, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill): Dr. Kubasko is an Associate Professor responsible for secondary science education and instructional leadership at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). He currently directs the Center for Education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (CESTEM) in the Watson College of Education (WCE). He has co-authored two book chapters on instructional technology and leadership. Dr. Kubasko is a lead and co-author on 14 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings pertaining to issues and topics in science education, teacher education and instructional technology. Since 2007, Dr. Kubasko has delivered 29 local, state, national and international presentation at professional conferences. He is a co-PI on two multi-year Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) Grants focusing on the professional development of mathematics teachers in both problem-based learning and teacher leadership totaling over $1,000,000. Dr. Kubasko directs international field experiences in Belize for college of education students since 2008. He works directly with the Belizean Ministry of Education providing professional development for teachers across the Central American country.
