Michelle Benigno

the new President-Elect of the North Carolina Science Teachers Association.  Michelle is a long time NCSLA member who participated in the Science Leadership Fellows Program and currently serves as a Director on the NCSLA board.  Congratulations Michelle!

Dr. Patricia Simmons

on her service as President of the National Science Teachers Association.  Dr. Simmons is also the chair of the STEM Education Department at NC State University and follows a long line of North Carolina educators leading NSTA!

 

Lisa Hudson

on her new position at Winthrop University in South Carolina.  Lisa has most recently served elementary teachers in Hoke County and through  the NC Department of Public Instruction.  She is also President-Elect of NCSLA.  North Carolina's loss is South Carolina's gain!

 

Dr. Jason Painter

on completing his doctorate degree in Educational Psychology at UNC-Chapel Hill.  Dr. Painter currently serves as director of the North Carolina Science Olympiad.  Good job Jason!

Dr. Carrie Jones...

is now NSTA District VI Director.  Carrie is a teacher at Middle Creek High School in Apex and serves on the NCSLA board as liaison with NCSTA where she is Treasurer.  As NSTA District Director, Carrie serves  and supports teachers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee for a three-year term.  Read more in the NSTA press release. Congratulations!
