This session is intended for K-12 science teachers, curriculum specialists, professional developers, school administrators, community partners, and college and university faculty.
Lin H. Chambers,
Physical Scientist in Climate and Radiation Studies, NASA, Langley Research Center
Dr. Lin Chambers received her education in aeronautical/aerospace engineering. She is the Director of CERES S'COOL Project (GLOBE Program Scientist for the contrail protocol) and MY NASA DATA Project. Her interest in clouds, airplanes, and contrails began as a child on trans-Atlantic flights. She has pursued this interest professionally since 1994 as a member of the Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) team. This team is reponsible for 5 CERES instruments currently in Earth orbit to study the effect of clouds on energy transfers in the Earth System, and their effect on our climate. Dr. Chambers stresses that documenting science work (writing) is a critical skill for scientists.
