With a new year, comes new direction and new resolutions! The NCSLA Board has been busy revising our strategic plan for the next 5-year period. Our focus remains the same,

N – Networking
C – Celebrating
S – Supporting
L – Lead
A – Advocate

but we have some exciting new strategies for accomplishing our goals! Look for new awards and initiatives! Our committees have a lot of work to do!

We have also developed a new vision and mission statement for the organization!

Our vision statement expresses the reason we exist:

NCSLA's vision is to engage in authentic networking, celebrate science educators, support emerging science education leaders and advocate innovative practice in North Carolina.

Our mission statement describes our strategy for realizing our vision:

NCSLA's mission is to provide opportunities for leaders in both formal and informal science education by offering a forum to exchange ideas and information, advancing quality STEM instruction, and influencing education policies and legislation.

Join us to help fulfill our vision! Become active in NCSLA by signing up for a committee or nominate a colleague for an award!
