Members of NCSLA already know the benefits of membership – networking, informative meetings, science education resources, recognition and awards, leadership opportunities and so much more – all of which can help you meet requirements of the NC Professional Teaching Standards. But did you know there are almost as many ways to join and maintain your membership?

Multi-year Plans
If you don't want the hassle of remembering to renew each year, consider using one of our multi-year options. Choose more years and save more money! The standard dues for one-year are $30 but you can save $10 years on the 3-year plan and $25 on the 5-year plan.

Group Membership
Do you have at least 10 people in your school, district or organization who are (or should be) NCSLA members? Then consider our Group Membership option and save $5/person. You can even combine the group and multi-year options by choosing a 3-year plan for the members of your group.

NCSLA – NSELA Combined Membership
Members of NCSLA can save $2 on their membership dues for our national affiliate, the National Science Education Leadership Association (NSELA). If you plan on attending the NSELA Summer Leadership Institute or Professional Development Institute this could save you even more money since you will be able to register a the member rate. Plus other great NSELA membership benefits such as the Science Educator Journal, awards program and more.

Retired Membership
For NCSLA members who are fully retired and no longer employed but want to stay involved with science education in North Carolina, we offer a discounted retired membership. At $20/year this is a great investment in the future of North Carolina's science education.

Details on how to join NCSLA or renew your membership with any of the options listed above can be found at http://tinyurl.com/ncslamembership or contact Beth Harris, Membership Chair at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
