Jessica Schouweile

Jessica Schouweiler, Director


jess sJessica Schouweiler (@jlschou) serves as Innovative Programs Coordinator for Newton-Conover City Schools. She was a German Fulbright Scholar who spent five years as a high school Biology Teacher for Newton-Conover High School and one year at Challenge Early College High School.

She received her B.S. in Biology from Lincoln University, Missouri and then completed a teaching certificate as a lateral entry teacher through East Carolina University in 2008. She holds a M.A. in School Administration from Appalachian State University.

Jessica served as an Assistant Principal for Newton-Conover High School for two years and at Newton-Conover Middle School for two years. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D in Educational Leadership, STEM Option from University of Massachusetts. Jessica has also served on the statewide NC Digital Learning for Administrators Planning Team, NCDPI Textbook Commission Member, NCSTA Board Member, and the co-founder of Edcamp WNC and STEMWest.

Jessica resides in Conover with her husband, David and their two dogs, Apollo (redbone coonhound/retriever) and Roman (manchester terrier mix).
